Have you heard of LOLA? To all my lady friends out there, this one is for you. (Sorry fellas.) For those who don’t know, LOLA is a smarter way to be prepared for good ol’ Aunt Flow’s arrival each month. Which, as we all know, is inevitable. You might be asking, “What the heck does any of that even mean?” Well, let me break it down for you and then you can decide whether or not you want to make the switch like I did.

1-It’s a feminine-product company, created by women, for women.
Do you know who makes the tampons/pads/etc that you buy in stores? Many are owned by large, mainstream corporations, and the heads of company operations are dominantly male. LOLA is the first all-women feminine-product company, and I’m pretty sure women should be in charge of what goes into our bodies, right?

2-The products are actually made of 100% organic cotton.
Do you know what’s in the tampons/pads/etc that you buy in stores? Some are a cotton and rayon blend. Some are a cotton fiber blend. On top of that, the FDA doesn’t require companies to list all ingredients. How ludicrous is that? So, LOLA decided to change that. Their products are biodegradable and made of 100% cotton.

3-The products are shipped directly to you.
How many times has Aunt Flow showed up on your doorstep and you’ve realized that you don’t have the proper accommodations? Target run, anyone? Well, with LOLA you get the products you need when you need them. You’re in charge of how often you get them, meaning you can skip an order if needed. And it’s all in the comfort of your own home. Does it get better? (Trick question. Yes it does.)

This one was probably my selling point. I get that tampons already come in combo packs. But with LOLA you get so much more! If you want, you could choose 3 lights and 15 regulars. Or you could choose 4 lights, 12 regulars, and 2 supers. Or all the same. Whatever you want! Also, you can adjust your order each month accordingly.

5-They have your back from day one.
And by this, I mean day one, day one. Do you remember the very first time your Aunt Flow came-a-knockin’? Some of us didn’t even know we had an Aunt Flow. Well, LOLA knows what that’s like. So they created a ‘First Period Kit’ that contains all the things a young lady will need for her first visit with extended family. I honestly wish this existed in my day because the experience is overwhelming enough without having to figure out things on your own.
